Cooper Cronk Staying Put in NRL


Melbourne Storm have confirmed that Cooper Cronk will be honouring his contract which expires at the end of 2016 season despite the recent rumours that Cronk may be heading to the Super League due to the introduction of the marquee player allowance.

“If this was 12 months ago, then I could have understood all the speculation because Cooper did have an option his way then,” Ponissi says.

“But that option expired at the end of last season and he is committed to completing the four-year deal he signed from 2013.
